Free QR code generator
Link, WhatsApp, Wi-Fi, phone or email → a clean QR code in your colours, as PNG or print-ready SVG. Made in your browser; the code is yours and never expires.
Nothing is sent to a server. Static codes never expire and are not tracked — see below for tracked QR codes.
Want to know who scanned it? — A static QR code can't tell you whether the menu, the flyer or the hotel card brought the customer in. Origen gives each one its own tracked link and QR, shows scans and leads per source, and delivers leads to your email or WhatsApp. Create a free account →
Tips for QR codes that get scanned
- Keep dark on light. Dark modules on a white or very light background scan fastest; invert it and many phones fail.
- Print at least 2 cm wide for a menu or card, 10 cm+ for a poster read from a metre away. Download the SVG for anything printed.
- Put one line of text under it saying what happens: "Scan for the menu", "Scan for 10% off". Scans double.
- Use a short link. Fewer characters means fewer modules, which means a code that scans from farther away.
Questions
Does the QR code expire?
No. It is a static code that encodes your link directly. It works as long as the link does.
Can I add a logo?
Choose error correction H, download the PNG, and place your logo over the centre covering at most a quarter of the area. It will still scan.
What is the difference between a static and a tracked QR code?
A static code points straight at the destination and tells you nothing. A tracked code points at a short link that records the scan — time, device, source — and then forwards. Origen makes tracked codes per referrer, ad or print piece, free.
Is this really free?
Yes, with no account and no watermark. The generator runs entirely in your browser.
